ABA's Government Affairs and Policy staff brings more than half a century of combined experience serving in both government agencies and within various sectors of the motorcoach industry to its role as the voice of the industry before elected officials. ABA's team pursues opportunities by closely monitoring key legislative and regulatory developments, safeguards the rights of motorcoach operators, protects members from inequitable business regulation, and keeps members informed.
The American Bus Association has been actively working on this issue since the original draft proposal was announced by NPS with our travel or tourism colleagues.
The first ever ABA and UMA joint Bus and Motorcoach Industry Fly-in this week on Capitol Hill was a success!
Reminder: Starting April 1 in the US, motorcoach drivers not in compliance with the electronic logging device (ELD) or automatic on-board recording device (AOBRD) mandate could officially be placed out of service during a roadside inspection.
