BusMARC Overview

The Bus Maintenance and Repair Council (BusMARC) brings together operators, technicians, and industry partners to strengthen maintenance practices across the motorcoach industry.

BusMARC regularly takes its show on the road to visit operators and maintenance support facilities across the country to see firsthand how others handle the day-to-day tasks of running a fleet.

From shop operations to compliance and diagnostics, the Council focuses on real-world challenges, providing members with practical insights they can apply immediately.

To elevate maintenance standards and awareness across the motorcoach industry through education, engagement, and shared expertise.

Four priorities guide the Council’s work:

  • Advance Maintenance Standards Across the Industry: Promote best practices that improve safety, reliability, and overall fleet performance.
  • Expand Technician Recruitment, Retention, and Training: Support the development of skilled maintenance professionals through specialized education, career pathways, and ongoing training.
  • Improve Access to Technical Expertise and Resources: Connect members with OEMs, suppliers, and industry experts to stay current on parts, diagnostics, and evolving vehicle technology.
  • Deliver Hands-On Learning and Peer Exchange: Create opportunities for members to learn directly from one another through site visits, live discussions, and real-world demonstrations.
