Callie Hoyt
Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Relations
I serve as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Relations at ABA, leading the Association’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry. My work focuses on shaping legislative and regulatory policy, building relationships with policymakers, and guiding communications strategies that elevate our members’ priorities and strengthen the industry’s voice in Washington.
What I enjoy most about this work is representing an industry that plays a vital role in connecting people and communities. Our members are passionate, resilient, and deeply invested in supporting travel, tourism, and economic growth. It is rewarding to advocate for businesses that make such a meaningful contribution across the country.
I bring a broad background in government relations and transportation policy. Before joining ABA, I worked with organizations representing the boating, trucking, and motorcycle industries, as well as intelligent transportation initiatives. I also gained valuable experience on Capitol Hill working for leaders on transportation and infrastructure issues. Together, those roles gave me a strong understanding of how to navigate complex policy environments and deliver results for members.
One area I’m especially passionate about is helping establish a clear, industry-wide policy agenda for ABA. A key part of that effort is creating a living document that is updated annually based on direct member input. That approach helps keep our advocacy aligned with the issues that matter most, focuses our work where it can have the greatest impact, and reinforces the value of ABA membership through a truly member-driven strategy.
Outside of work, I like staying active through lacrosse, surfing when I can, Pilates, and walks with my dog. Most of my free time, though, is spent keeping up with my two young sons and watching sports together.
