Director of Government Relations - Transportation Policy
I serve as Director of Government Relations – Transportation Policy at ABA, where I lead federal advocacy efforts focused on transportation policy affecting the motorcoach and group travel industry. My work centers on engaging Congress and federal agencies, advancing legislative and regulatory priorities, and translating member needs into effective policy strategies. I also support member companies as they navigate compliance and operational challenges, while helping strengthen industry engagement, coalition partnerships, and ABA’s broader advocacy impact.
What I enjoy most about this work is being part of an industry that makes travel more affordable and accessible. I’ve always believed travel is one of the best ways to better understand the world and connect with different communities, and buses play a major role in making that possible. They are cost-effective, lower-emission, and, for many travelers, an essential option. It is rewarding to work with operators who make that happen every day and help ensure policy supports their ability to keep people moving.
I bring a mix of Capitol Hill experience and trade association leadership. I spent seven years in Congress learning how ideas move from concept to law and how to work across the aisle. At the American Clean Power Association, I built on that experience by working within a large, member-driven trade association and helping align diverse stakeholders around shared policy goals.
One area I’m especially passionate about is ABA’s work highlighting motorcoaches as among the most efficient and lowest-emission forms of passenger travel. It is meaningful to help advance a practical solution that supports both mobility and sustainability.
Outside of work, I’m a die-hard Mets fan, love concerts and modern art museums, and spend as much time as I can with my wife and our three cats: Mochi, Tofu, and Butter.
