Travel Tips and Q & A for Crossing the Borders with DHS’ Customs & Border Protection

Webinar | July 29, 2025 | 2 PM ET

Whether you are a bus operator, a tour operator or a group leader, crossing the U.S. border is always a stressful experience! With the change in U.S. Administration and recent changes to some programs facilitating border crossings, there are some timely updates to be heard and best practices to consider.

In addition, with the changes to the CBP One app, there are updates regarding expediting advanced passenger manifesting that our presenters will review. We are hearing from lots of schools groups during their travels that they are experiencing secondary screening (additional questioning) and requests for notarized parental permission to travel when they are returning into the U.S. from international destinations. Some have been asked to turnover their electronic devices (cell phones and laptops) for inspection and review.

What are the recommended travel documents today?

A bus operator/educator/tour manager may not be prepared for this situation or how to handle if they want to dispute the issue. Can they deny showing their electronic devices? If they do, what happens if they are pulled aside – do all the people in their group go with them? Who watches them? What if their travel is delayed due to the situation and they have to rebook?

We will answer all of these questions and much much more during this session and have a meaningful discussion with these important regulators. Join us, and join in the conversation!
