Entry-level Driver Training
The American Bus Association knows it takes a qualified person to be a professional motorcoach driver. Safe, on-time driving, excellent customer service, dependability and trip planning are the cornerstones of your career. For this reason, ABA has partnered with Prevost to help members with the challenges of recruiting, training and retaining qualified drivers by offering courses relevant for new and experienced drivers.
Certified Travel Industry Specialist Program
ABA believes in the value of professional certification and the creation of programs that are industry specific, relevant, and flexible. To this end, ABA has partnered with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The CTIS correspondence courses are administered by IUPUI’s highly acclaimed professional staff. These rigorous, demanding but essential courses, designed exclusively for the motorcoach and group tour industry, introduce you to new concepts in the industry and expand your professional and personal skills.

ABA offers more than 50 quality seminars conducted by top-rated national speakers and industry experts. The ABA's Annual Meeting & Marketplace 2018 education program will continue to offer timely topics on three tracks:
The "Professional Development" track help individuals develop specialized and unique skills to assist them in their personal career growth.
The "Technology" track helps individuals improve their technical skill in this fast-changing business environment. Training sessions will focus on software, emerging online tools such as social media and advanced uses for common computer based technologies.
SALES AND MARKETING
The "Sales and Marketing" track is peppered with unique and innovative approaches to the science of selling. Participants will be introduced to new niche markets, focus on successful cutting edge case studies, and how to take the next step in putting your business over the top.
These short bites of information take place on the Marketplace floor. Each session is 14-30 minutes in length and conducted using headsets.

ABA Foundation Scholarship Program
The American Bus Association Foundation promotes academic excellence and diversity in the motorcoach travel and tour industry through its George T. Snyder, Jr., scholarship program. The ABA Foundation has awarded more than $790,000 in financial support to over 240 scholars in the past 19 years of outreach, and will award $100,000 in scholarship funds in 2017. As a member of ABA you, your colleagues and dependents are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
