- About 880 companies sent as many as 5,070 motorcoaches to the Pigeon Forge area in 2005. These buses carried approximately 200,700 overnight guests and 6,400 daytrippers.

Methodology
- Telephone interviews were conducted with motorcoach carriers to collect data on the number and duration of tours, lodging information, and other spending. This data was combined with information collected from a self-administered survey of visitors, and analyzed using a regional input-output model developed by the Minnesota IMPLAN Group to calculate the full economic impact of the motorcoach tourism in the Sevier County area.
