The South Central Motorcoach Association (SCMA) is headed to New Orleans for its 2026 Annual Convention & Marketplace, taking place August 30 – September 1, 2026, at the Drury Plaza Hotel. The event will combine industry education, safety initiatives, networking, and destination experiences in one of the country’s most recognized tourism cities.

Known for its vibrant culture, world-famous cuisine, live music, and historic charm, New Orleans provides the perfect backdrop for this year’s convention. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience iconic attractions, including the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, riverfront attractions along the Mississippi River, and the city’s renowned dining and entertainment scene. From jazz music and historic architecture to culinary experiences unique to Louisiana, the destination offers countless opportunities for attendees to explore while building valuable industry relationships.

A major focus of the convention will be the enhanced BISC South educational programming presented in conjunction with the Bus Industry Safety Council. The safety-focused sessions will provide practical operational insight for owners, drivers, technicians, and management teams, highlighting current best practices in safety, compliance, preparedness, and industry operations.

Representatives from the American Bus Association will participate in the event, sharing insights on tourism trends, group travel opportunities, and national initiatives supporting the motorcoach and travel industries.

In addition to educational sessions and safety discussions, the convention will feature marketplace appointments, networking receptions, and opportunities for operators and suppliers to strengthen partnerships throughout the South Central region.

“The combination of professional development, industry collaboration, safety education, and the incredible hospitality of New Orleans makes this convention a must-attend event,” said Cary Martin, President of the South Central Motorcoach Association. “We are excited to bring our members and partners together in a destination that truly offers something for everyone.”
