MEMBER ALERT

Security Awareness Message from TSA

Today ABA received this notice from the Transportation Security Administration concerning the increased level of awareness the transportation industry is taking in light of the recent events in Europe. ABA and the Bus Industry Safety Council earlier distributed a Post-Paris Safety and Security Bulletin and links to that information, as well as a video message from ABA President and CEO Peter Pantuso are part of this member alert.

Dear Highway & Motor Carrier (HMC) Transportation Industry Stakeholders:

With the recent events and elevated threat level in Europe, and in the face of the busiest holiday travel season in the United States, this Security Awareness Message was prepared by the TSA Surface Division for security awareness across all surface transportation modes. While there is no actionable intelligence in any particular surface mode of transportation, the information provided is to raise the level of security awareness across the surface transportation landscape.

Thank you for your continued support in the name of security.
