MARS Donates Dynamic Tour Package to Help Fund a Future

Mid Atlantic Receptive Services (MARS) is pleased to again partner with the American Bus Association Foundation (ABAF) to donate a dynamic tour package for up to 50 people valued at more than $45,000. The tour, entitled “Harbor to Harbor”, will be auctioned at the ABA’s 2020 Marketplace in Omaha, Neb., Jan. 10-14.

The proceeds from this auction item will benefit the ABAF Scholarship program, which recognizes deserving students who demonstrate scholastic ability, leadership, character, diversity, and the potential to be future leaders in the transportation, travel and tourism industry. The ABA Foundation Auction will be held on Jan. 11, 2020, where all tour operators are welcome to place their bid!

MARS has been delighted to donate a deluxe tour “Grand Prize” Live Auction item each year since 2013, with an estimated $100,000+ being raised for the ABA Foundation Scholarship program during this time. MARS partners with major sponsors like the Gaylord National Resort, Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, Marriott Hotels, and many others to create special tour packages tour owners have scooped up for only cents on the dollar.

Anderson Coach & Travel, with more than 80 years in the tour business, has purchased several Live Auction packages over the years. “We have been fortunate to be the successful bidder of the Foundation group tour package on a number of occasions,” said owner Doug Anderson. “We have found the value and expertise of these tours has dramatically helped our bottom line and contributes greatly to our customer offerings. We are very impressed with each of the MARS tours we have purchased! I welcome everyone to bid against me again this year!”

MARS owner Kate Scopetti stated she believes in supporting our transportation industry’s organization, and the Foundation’s scholarship program is a great way to give back. “Our team of committed professionals design unique and innovative tours through creative custom planning, attention to detail, and flawless travel management, culminating in exceptional travel experiences,” said Scopetti.  “We exceed expectations through our passion and dedication to our partners in an atmosphere of honesty and integrity.”
