By ABA Media

Congratulations to the ABA member cities who were recently listed on WalletHub’s top destinations to spend New Year’s Eve.

Is your city on the list? If not, you might want to spend New Year’s Eve in Louisville, Ky., site of ABA’s 2019 Annual Meeting & Marketplace.

“Louisville’s New Year’s Eve lineup offers something for everyone, with choices between high-end VIP experiences and block parties, to soul music concerts,” said Katie Kubitskey, marketing communications manager at the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau. “ABA member the Galt House Hotel typically plans multiple events to ring in the New Year, and this year’s plans include a ‘James Bond New Year’s Eve’ and a ‘New Year’s Eve Black-Out Affair.’” Look to or for great event calendars for your weekend getaway!

This year’s holidays should significantly add to the economy, particularly the tourism industry. Data suggests that consumers are feeling bullish about the holidays, retail, the economy, bonuses, and job prospects. With a long weekend for both Christmas and New Year’s, consumers will be enjoying these holidays. Travelers should expect transportation venues, such as airports, highways, Amtrak, to be at capacity.”
