ABA believes in the value of professional certification and the creation of programs that are industry specific, relevant, and flexible. To this end, ABA has partnered with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The CTIS correspondence courses are administered by IUPUI’s highly acclaimed professional staff. These rigorous, demanding but essential courses, designed exclusively for the motorcoach and group tour industry, introduce enrollees to new concepts in the industry and expand their professional and personal skills.

The American Bus Association Foundation promotes academic excellence and diversity in the motorcoach travel and tour industry through its George T. Snyder, Jr., scholarship program. The ABA Foundation has awarded more than $730,000 in financial support to over 220 scholars in the past 18 years of outreach. All employees of ABA member companies are eligible to apply.
