At MCI, the relationship between the sales team and the customer doesn’t end when the keys are handed over at delivery—it begins. Each delivery marks the start of a long-term partnership, with MCI deeply invested in the success of every operator it serves. As private motorcoach operators continue to grow and evolve, they can rely on their MCI team as a trusted advisor.
“I have never seen a team more dedicated to customer service than ours,” says Tim Barnes, Vice President Private Sector Sales and a more than 30-year veteran in the transportation industry. “Our team will do whatever it takes to support our customers.”
When an operator chooses MCI, they aren’t just buying a motorcoach—they are gaining a team of experts that is committed to keeping their company’s legacy moving forward.
“MCI has always had a similar philosophy to John Hall’s Alaska: Whether a client spends a dollar or a million dollars, they are treated the same,” says Elizabeth Hall, John Hall’s Alaska President/CEO, shown here with COO Joe Hall and MCI’s Vice President New & Pre-Owned Coach Sales, Midwest, Aram Nikitas.
The MCI team stands together at the forefront of innovation, showcasing a clean-diesel coach and the customer-first partnership that continues long after delivery.
The Full-Value Proposition
The MCI team focuses on supporting each coach through its entire lifecycle. While the delivery of a new, state-of-the-art vehicle is an exciting milestone, the true value of the MCI experience shines in the after-sales support. From 24/7 roadside assistance to ongoing technical training through the Automotive Service Excellence-accredited MCI Academy, this comprehensive approach includes:
- Customized fleet planning: Helping operators adapt to market shifts, optimize fleet performance, and plan for future growth.
- Proactive problem-solving: Whether it’s a technical hurdle or a logistical challenge, the MCI team acts as an internal advocate for its customers, leveraging internal resources and ensuring customer feedback reaches the right teams.
- Extensive support network: Beyond the sales representative, each customer is backed by a dedicated MCI in-field service expert and regional parts manager, providing personalized support and maximizing uptime.
John Hall’s Alaska has partnered with MCI for more than 45 years—when John Hall Sr. made his first motorcoach purchases in the mid-1980s. Today, the next generation of leadership continues to operate an exclusively MCI fleet.“Without the support we receive from all the teams at MCI, we could not operate in the harsh conditions of Alaska and the Yukon,” says JHA President/CEO Elizabeth Hall. “Our relationship with MCI is truly unique, going far beyond the transactional sale.”
Aram Nikitas
Vice President New & Pre-Owned Coach Sales, Midwest
In 1996, Aram Nikitas began his career in ground transportation by creating a specialty company to support the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, which later merged into the Chicago Motor Coach Company. He joined MCI in 2004 and was responsible for sales, customer relations, and aftermarket support. Today, Nikitas is a respected veteran who serves the Great Plains region and is recognized for his strong work ethic and attention to detail.
A Legacy of Trust
With nearly a century of experience, MCI has built long-lasting relationships across generations of operators. A “boots-on-the-ground” philosophy means MCI team members often become extensions of their customers’ business. They celebrate the wins, navigate the challenges, and remain a constant presence long after delivery.
This dedication creates a level of competitive advantage that is difficult to measure but impossible to ignore.
For John Hall’s Alaska, it’s the type of partnership every operator hopes to have. “Aram Nikitas, MCI’s Vice President of New & Pre-Owned Coach Sales, has worked alongside us for nearly 25 years,” says Hall. As the voice of JHA’s relationship with MCI, Nikitas ensures that high customer expectations are exceeded and that every detail reflects the JHA brand. “To us, MCI isn’t just a working relationship. The team is like family.”
