Does it make sense for the bus and motorcoach industry to punish drivers for having an accident? If an employee is stealing from the company, is continually late, or is bullying fellow employees, then by all means management should follow up with its disciplinary process. But a driver misjudging clearances and clipping a mirror or scraping a sign is nowhere near the same thing. It is a skill and competency issue, not a matter for discipline.
