Recruiting Tips
Follow up is important. After sending your prospect an application, please follow up with him or her to make sure the application has been sent to ABA. If they have questions, call the ABA Marketing and Membership Department at (202) 842-1645 and request that a staff person call the prospect on your behalf.
Personalize the process and answer questions. Let your colleague know what you find most valuable about ABA membership. Tailor your comments to the company's individual needs and highlight ABA member benefits you think the prospect will find most useful.
If budget is an issue, be specific about the returns you have received on your investment in membership. In most cases, that far outweighs the reasonable membership fee.
