ABA URGES CONGRESSIONAL PASSAGE OF TRIP ACT TO BOOST TOURISM

March 2, 2010-- The American Bus Association today urged Congress to pass swiftly “The Travel Regional Investment Partnership (TRIP)” Act to provide $50 million worth of matching federal funds for U.S. destinations to engage in outreach efforts to attract prospective tourists.

ABA RAISES $45,000 FOR YELLOW RIBBON FUND AT MARKETPLACE 2010

January 22, 2010--Members of the American Bus Association collectively donated $45,000 to the Yellow Ribbon Fund charity as part of the Capital Region 2010 “Marketplace Gives Back” program designed to show the ABA’s gratitude to its host region’s hospitality.
ABA & FOUNDATION ANNOUNCE $25,000 DONATION FOR DISASTER RELIEF IN HAITI

January 16, 2010--The American Bus Association (ABA) and its charitable arm, the ABA Foundation (ABAF) today announced a joint donation of $25,000 to help disaster relief in Haiti as a result of the recent earthquake that has devastated the Caribbean nation. The funds will be dispersed through the American Red Cross.
TONY ORLANDO TO PERFORM ICONIC SONG FOR YELLOW RIBBON FUND

January 5, 2010--Celebrated singer Tony Orlando will help kick off the American Bus Association’s Capital Region Marketplace 2010 January 16 when he sings his signature song – “Tie A Yellow Ribbon ‘Round The Ole Oak Tree” – to encourage the more than 3,000 delegates in attendance to support the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which helps the families of recuperating soldiers.
