Day One
Begin your North of Boston adventure at the Peabody Essex Museum to explore over 2.4 million pieces of extraordinary art, architecture, and culture from New England and the world. After your museum trip, step back in history to the year 1692 to unlock the mysteries of the Salem Witch Trials as you tour the Salem Witch Museum. Next visit the home made famous by Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel “The House of the Seven Gables”. Enjoy lunch on your own and then see a chilling drama on Salem’s eerie past at the Witch Cottage at the Griffen Theatre. After the theater, tour historic Chestnut Street to see historic homes that have been built from the wealth of ship captains during the Salem’s early days. Your Chestnut street tour will include a guided tour of the Stephen Phillips House a federal style mansion that contains a family collection that spans over five generations. Dinner and evening entertainment will be on your own.
Day Two
Day two of your adventure will take your group to Cape Ann to take part in a whale watch aboard Cape Ann Whale Watch’s Hurricane II boat, box lunches will be provided during the tour. After your whale watch you will travel to Newbury and Newburyport to explore the Spencer Pierce Little Farm and Coffin House as well as shopping on your own in downtown Newburyport.
