Martz Group Chairman & CEO Frank M. Henry has been named the American Bus Association's 2008 recipient of the organization's Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Martz Group, headlined by its Martz Trailways brand, is celebrating its 100th anniversary of operations in 2008. The company's emphasis on customer service is personified in Mr. Henry, who received the award as part of the opening ceremonies during Marketplace this month in Virginia Beach, Va."Martz has helped to elevate industry service standards through an unprecedented commitment to safety and customer service, as well as through its investment in the local community, led by Mr. Henry," ABA President & CEO Peter Pantuso said.
"Mr. Henry is truly an industry visionary," said ABA Chairman Doug Anderson.
Known as "The Builder," Mr. Henry has led expansion of the Martz Group to include six major motorcoach companies providing a variety of bus transportation services from terminal facilities and garage operations ranging from New York City to Tampa, FL. using more than 250 buses and nearly 500 employees. During his 49 years of leadership, Mr. Henry has overseen a more than doubling of the size of Martz's operations.
Mr. Henry continues to lead the Martz Group, now in its third and fourth generation of family leadership. He has helped Martz Trailways emerge as a standard bearer for excellence in the motorcoach industry, operating on the simple precept of providing safe, reliable and courteous service.

The American Bus Association is the trade organization of the intercity bus industry with more than 1000 motorcoach owner and tour company members in the United States and Canada. Its members operate charter, tour, regular route, airport express, special operations and contract services. Another 2,600 members are travel and tourism organizations and suppliers of bus products and services who work in partnership with the North American motorcoach industry.
