Festival du Voyageur

Winnipeg, Manitoba

Feb. 15 - 24

Designed to highlight the Franco-Manitoban heritage and culture of the whole community, this winter festival and its complementing activities reflect the era of the voyageurs and joie de vivre. For 10 days in February, the joie de vivre of the voyageurs comes together to host wonderful shows and numerous exhibits and provide delicious traditional dishes. The events take place in Saint-Boniface, the historic French quarter of Winnipeg. This unique event displays the beauty of winter through its numerous historical and family-oriented activities. Every year, this festival holds an International Snow Sculpture Symposium, as part of the sculpture competition in Voyageur Park.
