WASHINGTON, DC – The American Bus Association today announced that it has worked with American Express to create a new member benefit program that will help motorcoach and tour operators save significantly on day-to-day business overhead costs through American Express’ Corporate Card Program.

The American Express Corporate Card program is the leading Commercial Card program in North America, and is used by 60 percent of Fortune 500 companies.

“ABA’s new Premium Partnership with American Express means that bus and tour operators will have the opportunity to save money on everyday business overhead expenses, from office supplies to coach parts,” said ABA President & CEO Peter J. Pantuso, CTIS. “We’re pleased to provide such a valuable new benefit to ABA members, because we know that even as the economy stabilizes, every dollar still counts. As American Express says, membership has its privileges – and those privileges are now available to ABA members if they take advantage of the Corporate Card program.”

The new partnership provides ABA members access to special programs with top national companies, cutting costs on routine business spending. Through the ABA-AMEX alliance, members can get essential business supplies such as machine parts, maintenance supplies, safety equipment, computer hardware and software, shipping, advertising, web hosting, office supplies, waste management, uniforms, and more.

American Express’ Corporate Card program also provides cash-flow solutions to the seasonal motorcoach, tour and travel business by providing up to a 60 day float. Program participants also may earn points redeemable for business spending through the company’s Membership Rewards® program, which can be used for sales incentives, employee travel, customer appreciation and loyalty programs.

“The American Express ABA Card. Don’t leave the terminal without it,” Pantuso added.
