2009 ABA KALEIDOSCOPE AWARD

Sara Hamlin, CTIS, VP, Tourism, Greater Birmingham CVB Sara

Because of her hard work and dedication both as an innovative tourism professional and as an exceptional leader, 2009 Marketplace Chair Sara Hamlin, CTIS, has been awarded the ABA Marketplace 2009 Kaleidoscope award designated by the Association’s Diversity Committee.

Hamlin, who is Vice President of Tourism for the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, serves on ABA’s Board of Directors, as well as on ABA’s Diversity Committee.

The purpose of the award is to recognize an individual or company that has directly impacted the advancement and promotion of diversity within and among the motorcoach, tourism and hospitality industry. Among other criteria, the award nominee must have implemented a vision that is strategic, and challenges his/her organization and the industry to increase opportunities for everyone.
